Balinese Teen Forced to Marry Flirtatious Cow
An 18-year-old Balinese man, Ngurah Alit, was caught in a rice paddy riding a cow doggie style after it had flirted with him. To cleanse his village he was forced into marrying the cow—but he passed out.
Yesterday was to be the big day for Alit, a young unemployed man from a coastal village on the Indonesian island of Bali. But, according to The Jakarta Globe, the cow had to pay for his sins and was drowned in the ocean as part of the ceremony. An understandably nervous Alit passed out and it is unclear whether vows were exchanged before the cow was killed. According to one villager, Alit was symbolically drowned, and “only his clothes were thrown into the sea.” The village chief, Ida Bagus Legawa, said that the village had been “cleansed.”

Ocean Springs officer faces additional child porn charges

Ocean Springs Police Lt. Steven Futral has been arrested again today, this time charged with three additional counts of possession of child pornography.
The additional charges stem from images found on his police laptop, Jackson County Sheriff Mike Byrd.
Futral was initially arrested Monday night on one count of possession of child pornography stemming from images found on his home computer.
He has been suspended without pay from the Ocean Springs Police Department.

Knife can freeze organs

The Wasp knife ejects a high-pressure gas through a needle in the blade at the touch of a button and the Met Police now fear it could end up on the streets.

The £200, US-made weapon is designed to kill sharks and bears and is normally sold to hunters and pilots. However, the internet has made such weapons much easier to find and buy over in the U.K.
This weapon injects a frozen ball of compressed gas approximately the size of a basketball at 800psi nearly instantly. The effects of this injection will drop many of the world’s largest land predators. The effects of the compressed gas not only cause over-inflation during ascent when used underwater, but also freezes all tissues and organs surrounding the point of injection on land or at sea. When used underwater, the injected gas carries the predator to the surface BEFORE blood is released into the water. Thus giving the diver added protection by diverting other potential predators to the surface.

(CNN) — At least 115 people have died after a tropical storm battered Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador over the weekend, officials in those countries reported.
Guatemala was hit hardest, with at least 92 deaths, 54 people missing and 59 injured, emergency officials said. Nearly 112,000 people have been evacuated and more than 29,000 areliving in temporary shelters, Guatemalan President Alvaro Colom said in an address to the nation late Sunday.
The devastation has been widespread throughout Guatemala with mudslides destroying homes and buildings and burying some victims. At least nine rivers have dramatically higher levels and 13 bridges have collapsed, the nation’s emergency services said.
In the northern part of Guatemala City, the downpour created a giant sinkhole that swallowed up a space larger than the area of a street intersection. Residents told CNN that a three-story building and a house fell into the hole.
